Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah frequently makes headlines with rumors about cast members leaving the show. Recently, Sharad Sankla, known for his role as Abdul, put an end to such speculation. Now, Mandar Chandwadkar, who portrays Aatmaram Bhide, has also stepped forward to deny rumors of his departure. Chandwadkar addressed the false reports through a video on Instagram, where he also highlighted the misuse of social media platforms.
The video began with Mandar extending Janmashtami wishes to his fans. He mentioned that his wife had informed him about a viral video falsely claiming he was leaving the show. The actor also pointed out the misleading thumbnail of the video, which falsely declared, “Goli has been removed, today I will reveal the whole truth about the TMKOC set, Daya Bhabhi will not return, and I will also quit the show.”
Expressing his disappointment, the Marathi actor said, “Mujhe bahut aascharya hota hai, dukh bhi hota hai iss baat ka ki social media platform ka log kaise galat fayda uthate hain. Yeh jo aap dekh rahe hain image wo jab 16 saal pura huye the tab main live gaya tha. Sabke saath baat karne ke liye aur usmein se yeh image capture karke yahan pe uska thumbnail banaya gaya hai (I am very surprised and saddened to see how people take the wrong advantage of social media platforms. The image you are seeing was taken when I went live to talk to everyone after the show completed 16 years, and this image was captured from it and used in the thumbnail).”
In his caption, Mandar urged fans to ignore such rumors and refrain from spreading them. He reassured viewers that he remains committed to entertaining them, just as he has been doing since 2008. He emphasized that his primary goal in sharing the video was to communicate the truth. Wrapping up the message, Mandar expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans for their continued support and love.
