The latest episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14 was an emotional whirlwind. On the live episode aired on August 18, Aditi Sharma was eliminated from the high-stakes reality show after facing defeat in a tense showdown with Shalin Bhanot, following her nomination by Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.
During the episode, host Rohit Shetty tasked captain Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia with selecting two contestants from her team for the elimination stunt. She chose Aditi Sharma and Shalin Bhanot, a decision influenced by their team’s performance in the water task, where they, along with Gashmeer Mahajani, were outscored by Sumona Chakravarti’s team. Nimrit explained to Rohit that Gashmeer and Niyati Fatnani would be spared from the stunt due to their significant contributions in previous challenges.
Nimrit, known for her role in Choti Sarrdaarni, expressed her decision to prioritize herself over Shilpa Shinde, citing the challenges she faced in the previous week. She emphasized that she had given her all in the stunt, noting that Shilpa outperformed Shalin, leading to his nomination alongside Aditi. Aditi, feeling deeply hurt, tearfully expressed that she felt betrayed but promised to respect the decision and give her best effort in the task.
Rohit Shetty then detailed the elimination stunt for Aditi and Shalin. The task involved keeping their heads inside a coffin-like box that would rotate, with another box filled with cockroaches and scorpions (bichus) involved in the challenge. After five minutes, the stunt would end, and the winner would be determined by who collected the most scorpions. The rules stated that one contestant couldn’t watch while the other performed.
Aditi managed to collect 151 scorpions, but it wasn’t enough to beat Shalin, who gathered 168 scorpions, surpassing Aditi by 17. With a heavy heart, Aditi bid farewell to the show, reflecting on how she had pushed herself beyond her limits. Nimrit and Aditi reconciled, with Nimrit reassuring her not to hold any resentment, explaining that she had no other choice.
