Kareeb ke Rishtey…Close relationships…Part 7

 

Pooja and Aarav were walking around.Suddenly Pooja fell into the river.Pooja screamed.Aarav was shocked.

Aarav:Oh no…how did you fall into the river Pooja?

Pooja:Help help!

Aarav got worried and jumped into the river.Pooja smiled that Aarav will save her.But shockingly Aarav started drowning.Pooja was shocked.

Pooja:Aarav!

Pooja swam towards Aarav and caught him.

Pooja:Aarav,are you alright?

Aarav nodded:Yes.

Suddenly Aarav asked her with a shock:You know swimming?

Pooja:Yes.

Aarav:Then why did you scream when you fell into the river?

Pooja:I purposefully fell into the river for fun as I love swimming.But I decided to play prank on you.So I behaved as if I am scared and pretended to be not knowing swimming.I felt happy as my friend came to save me.But then I realized that you did’nt know swimming.

Aarav:Yes,I don’t know swimming.

Pooja:Villagers bath and play in rivers also.So I thought that you knew swimming.

Aarav:I was scared of rivers since childhood.So I did’nt learn swimming.

Pooja:But if you did’nt know swimming why did you jump into the river?

Aarav:Because I got scared to see you in the river.I thought you were drowning in the river.So without thinking anything I jumped into the river to save you.

Pooja looked at him emotionally.

Pooja:Without knowing swimming,how did you think that you could save me?

Aarav:I don’t know.When I saw you in the river,I did not think anything like that.All I thought was I wanted to save your life.

Pooja:You took such a big risk to save me.You risked your life to save me.Why?

Aarav:Because I was scared to lose you and I did not want to lose you.Please don’t do such pranks again.It’s scary and terrible.

Pooja:Sorry yaar.

They shared an emotional eye lock.

They broke the eye lock.

Pooja:We will go and change our clothes.Otherwise we will catch fever.

Aarav:Ya.

Pooja helped Aarav to go to the shore.

 

 

 

While sleeping Raavi was covered herself with the blanket and shivering.

Sonakshi and Pooja were shocked to see it.

Sonakshi touched her forehead and said:Oh Raavi is feverish.

Rohit who passed by that way heard it.He felt sad.Unknowingly the worried Rohit extended his hand to go near her and hug her.But he stopped himself and went out of the room.Pooja noticed it and went near him.

Pooja:Rohit uncle..I know that you crave to be with Raavi now.Then why are you hesitating?

Rohit was stunned that Pooja understood his present feelings.

Rohit:Pooja….

Pooja:I know that here fathers are very strict with their daughters,so they keep a distance with them.You are a very strict with Raavi.But atleast when the daughter is sick,please don’t ignore her.Because when a daughter is sick,she expects her parents to be with her for relief.If she does’nt get that,it really hurts her.

Rohit felt very bad.

Sonakshi put a wet cloth on Raavi’s forehead.Raavi slept again.Sonakshi went to her room.She was very upset.Rohit sat near her.

Rohit:Sona…

Sona looked at him tearfully.

Sona:I don’t know why Rohit.Raavi’s fever also wounds my heart.I get upset.

Rohit:Because you are a mother Sona.

Sona:Till she gets well,I won’t be able to sleep.

Rohit kept his hand on her shoulder and consoled her:She will be alright soon.Please don’t be upset.And as a father I will also help you to look after Raavi.

Sonakshi looked at him in disbelief.

Rohit:Yes Sona.

Sonakshi became so emotional that she rested her head on his shoulder and he held her closer to comfort her.

Rohit joined Sonakshi in looking after the sick Raavi.Pooja and Pulkit also looked after Raavi.Since Pulkit is a doctor,he only prescribed medicines.

Rohit made Raavi have her medicine with water with his own hand.

Sonakshi and Raavi were surprised seeing the care Rohit was giving Raavi.Pooja was enjoying it secretly.By night,Raavi’s temperature level became normal though she was still weak.

Raavi looked at Rohit emotionally.

Raavi:Papa,I always wished for this kind of care from you since childhood.I felt very nice when you looked after me today.

Rohit smiled emotionally.

Sonakshi:Rohit…to be frank,after years I felt that you did a father’s duty.

Rohit looked at her emotionally without any reply.

Naren came there.

Naren:Rohit,why are you doing a woman’s duty?Looking after the sick daughter is a mother’s duty,not a father’s duty.Father’s duty is only making money and giving the family all comforts.

Pooja and Pulkit got irritated.

Pooja thought:According to him,father is only a banker.Such a low thought!

Pulkit:Dadaji will never change.

Pooja:I am glad that you did’nt become a male chauvinist after living with narrow minded men.

Pulkit smiled:Seeing how dadaji and papa treated women,I felt bad and decided not to be like them.

Rohit:Papaji,I made money and gave comforts to my family.But I realized that they were only materialistic comforts.They deserve emotional support atleast in some situations.That’s what I gave my daughter now.

Naren got irritated.

Naren:You make your daughter sit on your head by pampering her.Later don’t complain that she got spoiled by pampering.

Rohit:Papaji…atleast when your grand daughter is sick,please don’t complain.

Naren walked away in irritation.The others smiled.

 

 

Aarav remembered his moments with Pooja and blushed.

He imagined dancing with Pooja romantically.

Aarav gave a red rose to Pooja.

Aarav:For you.

Pooja smiled.

 

 

Pooja:But why?

Aarav:Because you are special.

Pooja felt nice to hear from Aarav that she is special to him.

Pooja:Special means?

Aarav:You are my close friend.

Pooja:But for friends,usually yellow rose is given.This is red which is the colour of love.

Aarav was embarrassed.

Aarav:O come on Pooja.The meaning of colour is decided by human beings.We can give any colour friend to our friend.

She smiled:You are right.I love red roses the most.

Aarav:I know.That’s why I gave you the red rose.

She smiled.

 

 

 

Shiva looked at Raavi walking.

Shiva thought:Raavi is so innocent.I can’t cheat her.I have to tell her the truth.

He went near her.

Shiva:Raavi,I want to talk to you.

Raavi thought:What does he want to tell me now?

Raavi smiled at Shiva.

Raavi:What’s the matter Shiva?

Shiva:Actually I want to confess you something.That day the boys who troubled you were my own friends.I only asked them to make fun of you.

Raavi was shocked.

Raavi:But why?

Shiva:You were ignoring me.Infact you were not talking to any of the boys in college.So I had a bet with friends that I will make you talk.So I asked my friends to tease you.So that I can save you and become a hero in front of you.I was sure that you will talk to me when I save you.

Raavi stared at Shiva.

Raavi:Like you wished,I talked to you and you won the bet.Right Shiva?Now are you happy?

Shiva:Raavi….you are misunderstanding me.

Raavi:You cheated me Shiva.You are a cheater.

Shiva’s heart broke when Raavi called him a cheater.

Raavi:Papa was right.Boys are cheaters.That’s why he warned me not to talk to boys.

Shiva thought:So Raavi was not talking to boys as she was following her father’s order.

Raavi:I never thought that you were a cheater Shiva.You were the only boy I mingled with.Because I trusted you.But you cheated me.

Shiva felt very sad and could not bear her taunts anymore.

Shiva:Please stop it Raavi.I am not a cheater.If I was a cheater I would not have confessed the truth to you.I was hundred percent loyal to you as a friend.I wanted our friendship to grow on the basis of loyalty and honesty.That’s why I confessed the truth to you.If I was a cheater,thinking about my image in your mind,I would have hidden the truth.Right?Trust me Raavi…I did not have any bad intention.I just wanted to see you talk like a smart girl as I was fed up of seeing you as an introvert.

Raavi was confused about judging Shiva.

She thought:Is Shiva saying the truth?Is he really genuine or a cheater?

Raavi walked away.Shiva felt upset.

Shiva:Please trust me Raavi.

His eyes became wet.
